Hello Print Fans!
With Christmas just around the corner, things have been hectic here. It always seems that people leave ordering their Christmas cards to the last minute. And with Christmas 20 days away we have been inundated with orders.
Of course, I’m not complaining, it’s always good to be busy, although I sometimes wish that it would be a little bit more spread out, but “C’est la vie.”
I wanted to go over our ready-to-write Christmas cards this week, just in case you haven’t managed to buy your cards yet and you are still looking.
We have 5 different types of Christmas cards available in 2 different sizes.
The small Christmas cards are 156mm x 108mm once they are folded. They are all printed on the outside front cover with a motif and a message, and you have the option of a printed message on the inside as well.
We have 3 small Christmas cards:
The first card is printed on a forest green paper at 350gsm. It has a Christmas tree printed on gold on the front . This has been surrounded by a plate-sunk area to frame the main printing. Just below this there is a printed message in gold that says, “Seasons Greetings”
The next card is printed on a white 350gsm board. It has a Christmas wreath printed in 2 colours, both red and green, on the front cover of the card and has been surrounded by a plate-sunk area. Seasons greeting is printed just below this in black ink.
The last small Christmas card is printed on a Christmas red 350gsm board. This has a fairy printed on the front cover surrounded by a plate-sunk area and seasons greeting below this. Both the fairy and seasons greeting are printed in white to make the printing stand out a little more.
All of the small Christmas cards come with matching envelopes. They are packaged in packs of 5 cards and envelopes. All of the small Christmas cards are available with or without a printed message on the inside of the card. The standard message is, “Best Wishes for a merry Christmas and a happy New Year” although for an additional charge we are able to custom print any message that you would like.
The large Christmas cards are 178mm x 127mm once they are folded. They are printed on the front cover (like the small Christmas cards) and they include a plate-sunk area to frame the main printing.
We have 2 large Christmas cards:
The first card contains a large printed image of the 3 wise men on the front cover in 3 colours (red, Black and Gold). This has been enlarged to take up nearly the entire front of the card and below this there is a line of text that says, “3 wise men from the east” all of the printing is surrounded by a plate sunk area.
The other large Christmas card we produce has the skyline of Bethlehem with a starry sky and the words, “the old town of Bethlehem” printed in 2 colours (black and gold) and there is a plate-sunk area around it.
All the cards are supplied with matching envelopes and are packaged in packs of 5.
The large Christmas cards are available with or without a printed message on the inside. The standard message is, “Seasons Greetings” although, as with the small Christmas cards, for an additional charge you can customize the message on the inside to whatever you like.
For a limited time, to celebrate the Christmas period, we will be offering all our Christmas cards at an exclusive offer. Until the end of December you will be able to buy the small Christmas cards at £6.75 for a single pack or you can buy 2 packs of small Christmas cards for £12.00
For the large Christmas cards you can buy a pack for £11.50 or you can buy 2 packs for £20.00.
We also give you the option to mix and match Christmas cards that are in the same category so if you would like a variety of Christmas card to send to your friends and family that is possible to organise.
As we print these Christmas cards ourselves, every part of them in customizable, so if you would like a different message or no message at all, you just need to let us know and we can customize them.
If you don’t find anything that appeals to you in our ready-to-write range of Christmas cards we are also able to produce a custom Christmas card for you. This can work out a little costly for the first year, but provided it is planned well, you should have a card that you are able to re-use every year. We have quite a few clients who do this as they find it is easier than trying to buy or order cards each year.
If you are interested in printing your own Christmas cards we are able to help you with the whole process. We have our own graphic designer on site that can help with any problems that you have when you are organising the artwork. I am here everyday to go over any problems that you may have when choosing papers, ink colours, typefaces or the size.
If you would like to print your own Christmas cards, we will be accepting new orders for a little while longer. There are a couple of things you can do to make our job a little easier. If you have any idea’s try and send us samples so we know what you are talking about. It can be very difficult to get a good image of what you expect just from a telephone conversation or a few emails, whereas a picture never lies.
If you do have a budget that you need to try and stay within, please let us know as we can recommend papers and boards that will fall within your budget rather than something that is going to be too expensive.
Lastly if you have a deadline for the work to be completed please inform us of this at the start. Often with Christmas cards there is a lot of work to do from Designing and engraving to the actual printing, and if we know your deadline from the start we can tell you if this is something we can achieve or not.
I hope this will make choosing you Christmas cards a little easier.
For any of the die-hard fans out there I will be back again next week with more to complain about.
