The New Year

December 11th, 2009

Hello Print Fans,

Well there is only 1 more week before we shut for Christmas and apart from the last few orders that we are waiting to receive confirmation for, the year has been a good year for Capital of London.

2009 has been an interesting year for us. There have been good points and awful points and just about everything in between and somehow we have survived for another year.

I thought it was time for me to start a list of everything that will be changing in the New Year.

I thought I would start with the biggest change first:

Unfortunately as the Vat charges will be increased to 17.5% from the 01st January 2010, the Capital of London website will be unavailable from the 31st of December while we carry out essential upgrading work.  Please be patient with us while this is happening, as we will try to get everything back up and running as soon as possible.

We have also changed our delivery options for our ready-to-write stationery, (these were updated today.) From now on all our ready-to-write stationery will be sent out through Royal Mail second-class.  We have decided to do this to save you paying for courier charges for a small order. Your packs of stationery will be sent out in padded envelopes, (each envelope can fit 6 packs) and each envelope will cost £3.00 to post. If you order more than 24 packs of stationery it will then be cheaper for us to send out your order through our courier firm.

We have also included a special guaranteed next day delivery service for our ready-to-write stationery. This is for when you are in a rush and you need your stationery as soon as possible. With this service we will charge orders of up to 1 kilo at £8.50. For orders larger than a kilo please contact us through email or on the phone to discuss your delivery options.

At the start of the New Year we also hope to have a few more options available for you. The change that I am most excited about will be the option of group stationery. I can’t say too much at the moment as we are still working on the pricing and how we will achieve this to our usual high standards, but effectively we would like to give our clients, both personal and corporate, the option to have a group of stationery all printed together for a set price i.e. you could order 100 letterheads, 100 correspondence cards, 250 business cards and 200 envelopes all printed for a set amount that would be cheaper than ordering each item separately. Our eventual goal would be to have an offer for personal stationery, and corporate stationery. I hope this will make it easier to order the stationery you need and more importantly will make it more affordable for you in the long run. The moment I have more information on this I will update the blog with the details.

I won’t wish you this week as I will have the last blog of the year ready for next week and I thought I could go over any funny stories from the last year.

I hope to speak to all of you then.

Christmas cards

December 4th, 2009

Hello Print Fans!

Of course, I’m not complaining, it’s always good to be busy, although I sometimes wish that it [...]
